That's good, because frequent washing car is also the best way to maintain cleanliness and looks a new-car finish. But as simple as it may seem, there are some actions to watch for so that you don't accidentally scratch nor degrade the car's finish.

Here are some basic Village Valley Car Wash Do's and Don'ts car-washing tips:

When you should wash your car

Washing your car is very important. It prevents contaminants like dirt, air-borne pollutants, dust, tree saps, bug marks, salt and other elements sticking to your vehicle. We, at Village Valley Car Wash recommend washing your car once a week to prevent contaminants from damaging your cars paint and finish. We at Village Valley Car Wash will provide you various selection at an affordable price.

Don't -  wait to get layered of crud before washing. Many dirt, dead bugs, bird droppings, and different chemicals from the atmosphere strips away car wax and eventually consume your car's paint. If left too long, it can cause damage that requires sanding and repainting the area to repair it.

Do - monitor and wash off cluttered dirt, dust, dead bugs, bird droppings, and tree-sap mist as soon as possible the earlier you detect the better. A weekly car wash will keep the finish in its best look. In addition, if you live in an area that suffers from acid rain, rinse your vehicle off after a period of rainy weather. Otherwise, acidic chemicals in the rainwater will stick on the car's surface after the droplets have evaporated, leaving a mark permanently on the paint.

Kind of products should you use

Maintaining your car clean is not simply about pouring water all over it requires special washing techniques and car wash products. The range of car wash substances includes products that are specifically designed for use on automotive paint, compared to most household cleaning agents that could ruin the paint job. Therefore, select the right one for your vehicle.

Don't - use household cleaning agents like hand soap, dish washing detergent, or glass cleaner on the car's paint. Because these aren't advisable for use on a car's paint and may peel off the car's protective wax.

Do - use a dedicated car-wash product, which is milder and technically formulated for use on automotive paint. Apply the suds with a large, soft sponge or a lamb's-wool mitten.

Grease, tiny rubber, and road dust deposits picked up from the road often accumulate around the wheels and along the lower edge of the car's body. This is hard to remove and may require stronger product, such as a bug-and-tar remover. Use a soft, nonabrasive cloth to remove these deposits, as they can blacken your sponge fast.

Do - use a separate sponge to clean the wheels and tires, to remove accumulated sand, brake dust, and other debris that mark's the car's finish. Mild car soap and water may work here; if not, a dedicated wheel cleaner may be needed. Be sure the cleaner is compatible with the type of finish on paint, clear-coat, chrome, etc. used on the wheels. A strong formulated product intended for mag wheels, for example, can damage the clear coat that's used on the wheels that come on today's cars. To be on the safe guard, choose a cleaner that's labeled as safe for use on all types of wheels.

General guidelines on washing a car

Don't - wash your car when the body is hot, like immediately after driving it or after it has been parked in direct sunlight. Reason is that heat speeds the drying of car, wash soap and water, making it more difficult and increasing the chances that spots or deposits will form even more.

Don't - move the sponge in circles motion upon scrubbing. This can create light and noticeable scratches called swirl marks. Move the sponge in lengthwise direction across the hood and to other body panels. Be careful, don't continue using a sponge that's dropped on the ground without thoroughly rinsing it out because the sponge can pick up dirt particles easily that can scratch the paint.

Do - thoroughly, rinse all surfaces with water before you begin washing to remove loose dirt and other debris that can cause scratching. Once you begin, concentrate on one section at a time, washing and rinsing each area completely before moving on to the next one. This ensures that you have plenty of time to rinse before the soap dried up. Start at the top, and work your way around the car. Use a hose without a nozzle and let the water flow over the car from top to bottom. This creates a sheeting action that helps minimize pooling of water.

Do - work with a car-wash solution into a lather with plenty of suds that provide lots of lubrication on the paint surface and rinse the sponge often. Use a separate bucket to rinse the sponge to keep the dirt from getting mixed into the sudsy wash water.

Drying the car when done

After washing your car here's a quick tip.

Don't - let the car air dry, and don't drive around the neighborhood to dry it up. Reason for that it will leave watermarks caused by minerals in hard water. In addition, don't use an abrasive towel or other cloth material that can leave hairline scratches in the paint.

Do - use a chamois (natural or synthetic) or soft terry towels (designed towel for cars). If you choose towels, you may need several. It's best to blot the water up instead of dragging the towel or chamois over the paint. The drying process can be speed up by using a soft squeegee to remove most of the water on the body, but be sure the rubber is pliable and that it doesn't pick up bits of dirt that can cause scratches.
